Providing Educational Opportunities for Orphans
One of Bob's favorite hobbies was investing the family income. The Endowment honors his passion for education, children and investing. The trustees of Orphanages for Africa-USA (OFA-USA), a section 501(c)(3) public charity, hold, manage, invest and reinvest the fund. Two trustees serve as Fund Advisors in coordination with an external Secondary Advisor. Investment decisions are based upon short-and long-term performance, seeking a maximum return within the constraints of safety. Realized and unrealized capital appreciation is used exclusively for the nonprofit's education program to fund school fees, uniforms, books, school supplies and other education-related expenses for orphans. The Endowment is managed in accordance with applicable law, the provisions of the Endowment Agreement and any endowment policies of the charity.
